Marion County Democrats

As a small business owner in downtown Indianapolis for 13 years and community development advocate for nearly a decade, Zach understands many of the issues important to working families as well as the impact of the current economic conditions on communities across Marion County.

In addition to running a small business, in 2002 Zach joined the board of directors for his neighborhood association Holy Cross-Westminster, Riley Area Development Corporation (RADC) and the Near Eastside Community Organization (NESCO). In 2005, Holy Cross-Westminster divided and Zach founded the Willard Park of Holy Cross-Westminster Civic Alliance and has since served as its president and chief advocate. In early 2009, Zach became the chairman of the Fund Development committee, and in September that same year was elected Vice President for NESCO. Working in both the business sector and in community development has given Zach a unique perspective into a large range of issues facing our fellow citizens from Beech Grove to Castleton, Speedway to Lawrence and every community in between.

Zach lives in the historic Willard Park neighborhood on the near eastside of Indianapolis near downtown. He is an active member of his church, Jesus Metropolitan Community Church near 56th Street and Keystone, and plays the alto saxophone in the praise band. In his spare time, he volunteers for several civic associations and enjoys playing with the family dogs.
