Bill Crawford was first elected to the Indiana House of Reprsentatives in 1972. He serves as the representative for Indiana House District 98 at the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis whenever the State Legislature—the General Assembly—is in session.

In addition to his legislative efforts on behalf of the constituents of Indiana House 98, State Rep. Crawford is also engaged in activities related to his responsibilities as chairman of the Indiana House Committee on Ways & Means. This is the committee that is responsible for formulating a two–year state budget for introduction in the State Legislature.

When not engaged in his extensive responsibilities as a legislator, Rep. Crawford serves as a consultant.

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
